Music for Silence @ 55 Biennale di Venezia

for the silenced
the unspoken
what we watch, witness and can't name
the pictures we see while sleeping that we cannot describe
for the futile
for the solitary
the place we go when we orgasm
All the events in the world we can do nothing to help
for the orangutan who lies dying as her forests are shredded and burned
for the indigenous who watch as the earth is sucked and torn
for the losers and freaks and the ones who don't fit in and never will
for those who have been violated and can not complain
fot the ones who have been taught not to yell out their rage
for all the women not listened to
for the girls who get shot in the head for going to school
for the activists
for all the artists who are not invited to show, whose work is not welcome here
for the old
for the ugly
for the mentally frail
for the ones who can not run as fast
who cry too much
who have never been properly loved
the lonely
for the improductive and ineffective
for the gentle
for the Mute
to the deepest realms of the ocean, the furthest height of the skies
and the outer limits of our hearts

Let's hope we never reach them.

Buona visione e buonanotte.
